Coach Lukas and Coach Conidaris and the U15 girls soccer team ventured their way to North Carolina to attend a Team Camp put on by Anson Dorrance and the UNC soccer staff. Our team was gone for 7 days to test their skills against 24 teams from all over the US and Canada.
The girls played two 11v11 matches a day and attended numerous training sessions on a daily basis. The camp was very demanding and tested the girls endurance, skills, and will to learn. Coach Lukas stated " This camp was intended to push the girls to the next level, now I think they understand how to get to that level".
The coaches plan on introducing a new system and style of play this season for the U15 Green and White teams. "the knowledge we gained from Anson gives us a little edge as it has refocused us" said Lukas, " I am excited to pass this training on to our players in the club"
Both Strikers U15 girls teams are set to start the season by kicking off with training starting on July 18th. We look forward to watching their success.... Go Strikers!
