As a club we realize that without your support for our club and your child that youth sport and soccer around the globe would not exist. This is why we try and make your life easier with information and education for both players and parents.
We also ask for your co-operation with our club philosophy regarding our players development on and off the field. I'm sure most of you have experienced players and children feeling pressured or confused because of too much sideline coaching from enthusiastic parents. Lee County Strikers believes that for our players to develop the thinking and tactical side of the game they need the freedom to make mistakes and listen to themselves and teammates on the field.
Even if the information is correct from the sideline it is taking the independence away from the player, and decision making is a vital component of soccer. Let the coaches coach and the players play, then they can use practice sessions to improve on their technical and tactical attributes of their game.
We hope you agree with our club philosophy and don't be afraid to offer positive encouragement and cheering for our players because that can only benefit.

My child has to miss practice, a scrimmage, or a game? We feel that in the older age groups the player should begin to be responsible and call the coach to let him/her know. A call from the parents to the coach in the younger age groups would be appropriate.
I have general team informational questions (e.g. snacks, schedules, pictures etc.)? Every team is required to have either a team mom or a team manager who is in charge of basic team information.
I think my child is having a problem with the coach? Initially you should ask to speak to this particular coach. If you are uncomfortable speaking to the coach it would be appropriate to ask another person (someone you’re comfortable with and who is involved in the team) to be present at the meeting.
I think my child should be playing up? First you should speak with your coach and get his/her impression. The next step would be to speak with the Director of Coaching.
My child is asked to be a guest player for another club? During the soccer season (August 1st to the end of State Cup) if your player is asked to guest on a team from another club, the coach from the other club must contact your head coach and/or Director of Coaching. After the approval of the Head Coach and/or Director of Coaching the player will be allowed to guest play for another team/club.
I have a problem with my team? Initially any team problem should be addressed within that team. If a reasonable or acceptable solution cannot be reached, the head coach should contact the Director of Coaching. If there is still uncertainty and no Solution the DOC will approach and discuss the issue with the board.
I have tried to come up with a solution to a problem concerning my team, talked with my child’s head coach, appropriate Director of Coaching and I still feel dissatisfied with the results? If you have gone through all the appropriate channels of communication you can contact the Board directly. If it is felt that the problem or issue needs further consideration at a level higher than the Board, the Board will bring the problem/issue to the attention of the President. The person(s) submitting the complaint must make any formal complaint in writing and sign.
* players born after 07/31/07 will not be able to participate in LCS sanctioned events until the following season or later.
