The Lee County Strikers Soccer Club presents our Academy program for U9's through U10's for both boys and girls. Our Academy program is designed to develop players in a more structured and professional environment with the intend to provide them with the technical and tactical knowleged. This will prepare each player for our U 11 competitive tryouts in June of every year. 20 Players are accepted every season to join the Academy Program for each gender. Four assessment sessions will take place during the month of May instead of tryouts. Please read more below.
Our Academy program is designed for the U9/U10 (8 to 10 year olds) age group to help players develop their individual skills to get ready for a competitive environment. Players compete against other Academy teams from local clubs. Academy soccer is all about developing these youngsters into becoming technically sound and versatile players. They are placed in an environement which main goal it is to improve the indivudal, technical and tactical knowledge of the game to elevate their game to the next level.
FEE:$295 from August through February and includes all of the following:
Florida Youth Soccer Association Player Registration
Supplemental Accident Insurance Coverage
League Registration Fees
SWFL Winter Tournament Fee
Background Checks on all Coaches and Volunteers
Referee Fees
Professional Training
Full Uniform Kit (Adidas) including 2 jerseys, 2 shorts, 2 socks, and 1 practice T-Shirt. Uniforms will remain the same for 2 seasons to help the soccer club promote green global thinking. New uniforms will be available to purchase at the start of each season and 1 FREE replacement will be granted (ripped or grown out of) but that is up to the discretion of the club. FREE professional clinic at the end of each uniform cycle to show apprectiation to players and parents who are going green.
Team Sponsorship: The Academy teams are responsible for a $500 team sponsorship. The sponsor will get their company link on the website and a banner at Kelly Road soccer complex. Click here.
ACADEMY ASSESSMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
The Lee County Strikers Academy Assessment Training Program is for all players born between 08.01.2001 and 07.31.2003
Players will receive professional training once every week during the month of May and it is designed to improve the players skills and tactical knowledge as well as to introduce them to the upcoming U10 Academy program. There are no games with other Academies as this is an off-season training program.
Boys will practice Mondays from 6 - 7.30 pm starting May 2nd and conclude on May 23rd
Girls will practice Tuesdays from 6 - 7.30 pm starting May 3rd and conclude on May 24th
REGISTRATION WILL REOPEN IN APRIL 2012
This Assessment Training Program is FREE of Charge!
Refund Policy:
A 100 % refund will be issued if a player is dropped from a team per request made by the Lee County Strikers and its staff on or prior to July 31st.
A full refund but less the uniform fee of $ 100 and $ 25 administration fee will be issued if a player chooses to forfeit his/her spot on the team on or prior to July 31st.
From August 1st on, no refunds will be given except for medical reasons. In such cases a written medical refund request will be reqired. A full refund of the player fee, excluding uniform fee $ 100 and a $ 25 administration fee, will be issued. To request a refund under this provision, a doctor's letter must accompany the written request verifying the injury.
